Farmers Market Drop-Off
- Wrap your knives securely in a towel and bring them to the market.
- Drop them off at the Sharp Mom booth—quick and simple.
- Enjoy shopping the market while I sharpen your knives.
- I’ll text you as soon as your order is ready.
- Pick up your knives and pay by venmo/zelle/check/cash.
Sharpening service at your doorstep
- Text us to request an appointment.
- On your appointment day, you can leave your knives or tools on the porch if you won’t be home.
- I arrive at the scheduled time and sharpen everything on-site, usually in under an hour.
- When I’m finished, you get beautifully sharp blades ready to use.
- Payment is quick and easy by cash/venmo/zelle or check.
Minimum for a housecall is $100.

Hi, I’m Chaitra.
What began as a way to help my family after losing my father to cancer grew into a lifelong connection to the craft he taught me. I sharpened knives for neighbors throughout high school, carrying his lessons with me even as life pulled me toward engineering and grad school.
Years later, while living in Toronto, I had the chance to shadow a professional sharpener who introduced me to modern techniques and tools. His generosity and mentorship refined the traditional skills my father gave me and deepened my love for the craft.
I’m a mom of two, an engineer by training, and the hands behind Sharp Mom here in Santa Clara County. After returning to the Bay Area in 2024, I decided to bring my sharpening full circle and build a local, woman-owned business. If your knives are dull, I can fix that—quickly, carefully, and right at your doorstep or at the farmers market.
